About JMP Excavation, LLC
Founded in April 2015 by Joshua Whitehill & his wife, Mallory, JMP Excavation was born out of hard work and determination.
Josh’s roots in excavation run deep like, really deep! Growing up in a family steeped in the industry, he was inspired by his grandfather’s successful business and learned the ropes from his uncle. As a kid, he spent his summers knee deep in dirt, eagerly helping out until he was old enough to work alongside his uncle. In April 2015, he took the plunge and established JMP Excavation, turning his passion for digging into his own business.
Mallory’s journey is equally rich, Raised on a dairy farm, she developed a love for heavy machinery, often hitching a ride in the “poop truck” whenever she could. Today, one of her favorite pastimes is still cruising in the dump truck with Josh. She joined JMP full-time in 2020 and hasn’t looked back since, soaking up all the excavation wisdom Josh has to offer.
JMP has grown into a family business known for hard work, reliability, and long term customer relationships.
Today, we’re proud to have an amazing crew that includes Josh, Mallory, Blakely, Bruce, and occasionally, our daughter Piper, who lends a helping hand on the job site. And let’s not forget our beloved Dirt Pup, Kubota!
